How To Transfer From Coinbase To FTX

Thinking of breaking away from Coinbase and moving your crypto trading to FTX?

You’ll need to move your digital assets over and this is quick and easy to do.

NOTE: You do need to make sure you use the correct Blockchain network for transfers or you may lose your funds.

In this guide I’ve created below, I’ll show you how to transfer your cryptocurrencies from Coinbase to FTX.

How To Transfer Crypto From Coinbase to FTX

These steps which I demonstrate below, will take you around 3-5 minutes to complete.

1. Locate your FTX Deposit Address

For our first step, we’ll need to grab our deposit address which we will be using to send our crypto from Coinbase to FTX.

To find your deposit address, we’ll need to first be logged in.

Go on over to or and click on the “Log In” button.

Once you’ve entered your details and successfully logged into your account, look at the top left of the screen.

You should see a “Wallet” button we can click on.

Click on “Wallet”.

We’ve now arrived on the wallet page which will display all of our crypto balances.

You should see a long list of cryptos.

Deciding which crypto you use to transfer, can save you some money in fees.

For example Dogecoin or Litecoin will be very cheap to transfer. Ethereum could cost you slightly more as the transaction fees on the blockchain cost more.

In this example, I’ll use Bitcoin which doesn’t have the lowest fees, but is one of the safest ways to transfer.

If you want to use another crypto, then simply copy the steps I do here, but replace it with your cryptocurrency of choice.

Search for “Bitcoin” and once you locate it, look to the right.

You’ll see several options to pick from and we need to click on “Deposit”.

1. Copy your Deposit Address

A popup should now be on your screen that says “Deposit BTC”.

Several addresses should be shown which you can use to deposit various types of Bitcoin.

We want to use the default Bitcoin network so we’ll be using the first address.

On the right hand side you’ll see a “Copy” button.

Click on this button and it’ll place our Bitcoin address into our clipboard.

We now have our deposit address and we need to withdraw our funds from Coinbase and send them to FTX.

So go to and log in to your account.

Once logged in you should be on the Coinbase Dashboard.

In the top right you should see a button which says “Send / Receive”.

Click on this button.

4. Withdraw Bitcoin from Coinbase to FTX

A popup should now be on your screen.

On the top of the popup you should see “Send” and “Receive” as two tabs.

Click on the “Send” tab.

You now have several boxes you have to fill out.

First of all you need to decide the amount you want to send.

You can either dictate that amount in fiat or Bitcoin. The two arrows on the right of the number, allow you to switch between both currencies.

Clicking “Send All” will transfer everything you have.

Next you need to select what you want to pay with. In this case I have selected “Bitcoin”.

In the “To” box, you need to paste in the FTX deposit address we collected earlier.

Nothing is required for the “Note” box.

Once you’ve filled it all out press “Continue”.

The Coinbase fee is the fee that Coinbase will charge you for withdrawing.

The Network fee is the fee that you must pay to the Blockchain network to get your transaction confirmed.
